When does this error appear?
This error will appear when attempting to create a patient claim or bulk bill / DVA claim.
What does this error mean?
The Service Date for an item number is in the future. This will typically occur if an invoice has been created from an appointment that's in the future, relative to the current time.
How do I resolve this error?
- For patient claims, open the patient's Account History and select the invoice on the left-hand side of the Account History window and double-click the item on the right-hand side. For bulk bill / DVA claims, double-click the item directly from the New Transmission window.
- Click Edit and adjust the Service Date field to be today's date or earlier. If the Service Date is correct, please ensure that the Service Time is not in the future.
- Click Save.
- Repeat steps 1 - 3 for any other items that are in this invoice.
- For patient claims, highlight any items that are in this invoice and click Create Patient Claim. For bulk bill / DVA transmissions, attempt to transmit the item once again from the New Transmission window.
