As of Wednesday 1 December 2021, BUPA have made some changes to their Medical Gap Scheme (Scheme) and Scheme Terms and Conditions. This means that specialists can register for either "Known Gap" or "No Gap" claims, and have the correct fees automatically apply to their claims depending on their agreement.
What is changing in Genie?
Starting from 1 December 2021, you will now see two different schedules for BUPA funds available through Special > Software Updates > Fee Schedules.
- BUPA Known Gap
- BUPA No Gap
Place a tick against the appropriate schedule based on your agreement with BUPA and click Install 1 Item. Genie will ask which fund to apply this to as seen in the below screenshot.
Note: If you do need to install both Known Gap and No Gap schedules for any reason, you will need to add two separate BUPA health funds into your Genie to apply the schedules against.
If you have any BUPA subsidiary funds (ANZ, HBA, MBF, Mutual Community, NRMA Health, SGIC, and SGIO) in your health fund list, you will need to download the schedule for each fund using the steps above.
