If you have recently updated your Genie, you may find that your pathology requests are not aligned to your pre-printed paper.
This is due to pathology templates being recreated as custom forms in Genie v9.4.2. The latest versions of Genie will default new pathology requests to the Plain A4 template after upgrading as this is listed first alphabetically.
If you were using the Standard PrePrinted template in older versions of Genie (v9.3.9 and below), simply re-select this template from the Template drop-down when creating a new pathology request. This process must be done for each Laboratory you have.
You do not need to actually print a request for this template change to take effect. Changing the template and closing / printing the request will change the template for all users.
How do I know which template aligns with my pre-printed paper?
If you're unsure what template will suit your pre-printed paper, you can preview a template at any time by selecting it from the Template drop-down and clicking the Pencil icon or clicking Preview.

The new templates are still not aligned with my pre-printed paper
If you find that the requests are printing slightly misaligned to your pre-printed paper, this may be due to printer margins pushing everything on the page inward. Select the template from the Template drop-down and use the Pencil icon to edit the template.
Note: This will change the template for every user.
Highlight the fields on your form by clicking and dragging from the corner of the custom form. With the fields highlighted, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the fields in any direction.
If you have a PDF copy of your pre-printed paper, you can use the Add Background icon to add the pre-printed paper as a reference to align the fields correctly.
Click the Save icon to save any template changes.
