While Genie v9.4.6 and above will connect your practice with Medicare Web Services, meaning you no longer require PKI location certificates or Medicare Online global certificates, you still may need to manage a few miscellaneous certificates from the Certificate Manager in Genie.
If you aren't in the window already, navigate to File > Maintenance and Reports > Administrator > HIC Online PSI Store. Double-click on your GEN, then click on the Certificate Details button.
Certificates that are expiring will be displayed in yellow, and certificates that have expired will be highlighted in pink.
NASH (My Health Record) certificates
If you have an expiring NASH certificate, you can use the below guide to update this.
Please note: As Genie is not yet SHA-2 compatible, this certificate will need to be renewed before 13 March 2022 if it is expiring any time in the near future. Once Services Australia switches their claiming channels to Medicare Web Services on 13 March 2022, you will not be able to request a non-SHA-2 certificate to import into Genie.
Our 64-bit version of Genie will be compatible with SHA-2 certificates. We do not have an expected date for this version yet, however, we fully anticipate that it will be available before most SHA-1 certificates are set to expire.
Mater E1000 certificates
If you have an expiring Mater E1000 certificate, you can use the below guide to update this.
