If you create quotes in Genie for surgery or procedural operations, you can print these quotes to give to your patients. You can do this at the time of creating the procedure, or after the procedure and quote have been saved.
To print quotes from Genie you must firstly have created a quote template in your Genie database.
Open the quote
If you don't already have the quote open, you can access the Quotes window through two different areas in Genie:
- From the appointment book
With a patient's surgical appointment highlighted, click the procedureicon.
Note: This will create a new procedure if there is no existing procedure linked to that appointment. - From the clinical window
In a patient's clinicalfile, double-click on an existing procedure or go to Tools > Add Procedure to create a new procedure.
Print the quote
In the Quotes tab of the procedure, click the Quote Actions drop-down in the bottom-left. Choose the Print Quote option, then select the appropriate quote template from the list.
In Genie v9.3.6 and below you will need to use the Select Template drop-down to print your quote.
This will open the quote template in a merged letter window. If you have set up your template correctly, the item and fee information will automatically be entered.
Once you are happy with how the quote appears, click the printer icon to print the quote.
