In today's climate, we understand how the COVID-19 pandemic may have severely changed the way you deliver healthcare. With the Australian Government expanding consultation services available via telehealth, we want to ensure you have all the available tools to assist you in continuing to deliver essential healthcare to your patients.
Genie Solutions have partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop a new telehealth consultation tool, TeleConsult, using their Chime technology.
We will be offering our integrated product free of charge until 1 October 2020. Please visit the following link for frequently asked questions regarding our new product.
Before you begin
With the release of Genie version 9.3.6, you are able to access our integrated TeleConsult product directly from within Genie to streamline your practice workflow. Please see our article on Accessing TeleConsult in Genie for steps on how to integrate.
Registering for TeleConsult
To set up your TeleConsult service, please visit our website to register your details.
Once you click REGISTER, please look out for an email titled "Welcome to Genie Telehealth" with temporary log in credentials. You must click on the link to reset your password before you can successfully log in.
Login and setup
To start consulting, you can navigate to https://teleconsult.geniesolutions.com.au/login.
Please note: We recommend updating to our latest Genie version 9.3.6 when this becomes available, as you will be able to access your TeleConsults from directly within Genie.
Enter in your registered email address and password into the corresponding fields, then click LOGIN.
When you enter into TeleConsult for the first time, you will need to set up your microphone, speaker, and video. Ensure you allow your browser access your microphone and speaker, then navigate to the Settings in the bottom-right of the window to manually select the correct inputs.
Inviting the patient
You can send the patient an invitation via an SMS or an email. Select the preferred invitation method from the drop-down then enter the mobile number or email address for your patient in the field as shown below. If you are accessing TeleConsult from Genie v9.3.6, these fields will be pre-entered for your convenience. Once this has been entered, click the SEND INVITATION button.
You can adjust your audio/video inputs at any time by clicking on the Settings button. If you need to mute your microphone or disable your video at any stage during the consultation, you can do so using the buttons below, which are displayed at the bottom of your web browser.
Ending the TeleConsult
Once you have concluded your consultation, simply click the button to be taken back to the home page, where you can easily enter in another patient's details and start another consultation.
Once you have completed your consultations for the day, ensure you click the Logout button to successfully log you out.
