The Australian Government has published documentation relating to the spread of COVID-19 via Health Direct. Any enquiries pertaining to the spread of COVID-19 should be directed to Health Direct, either via their website or hotline.
If you have any enquiries on how to use Genie software to generate patient searches or billing, please contact our Support team.
There are multiple functions in Genie that will allow you to search for and communicate with patients in bulk. These options will allow you to send information on your clinic policy, COVID-19 alerts or any other updates you wish to notify your patients of.
For information on how to utilise these functions, please see our article Utilising Genie for COVID-19
The Australian Government has recently announced a release of additional Telehealth item numbers for bulk bill. These items relate directly to the COVID-19 pandemic and can be billed in the same manner as other Telehealth items through Genie.
If you would like to bill for these items using the Medicare Online claiming in Genie, please refer to our article Bulk Bill and DVA Online Claiming.
If you use ICPC-2 clinical codes to identify patient problems in the Genie Software, a new database has been released specifc to COVID-19. This can be downloaded from Special> Software Updates> Miscellaneous
Genie Solutions has recently released Online Patient Registration, allowing patients to fill in their own demographic information via an online survey. This information is then populated into a new patient record in Genie, saving your staff time on collecting and entering patient data. If you have found that you are experiencing an increase in new patients, this option may be beneficial for your practice.
