Open the Image in the Image Browser window by highlighting it in the Clinical Window and selecting the Image Browser icon . Within the Image Browser window, select the Image menu above the preview window and choose the option to Rotate. This will not permanently rotate the image; the image will be returned to its original orientation the next time you view it.
Tip:
The only way to ensure that an image consistently displays with the correct orientation is to make sure it is correctly sized and rotated before it is attached to a patient's record.
This will usually be possible via your computer's default image viewer or editor (e.g. MS Paint, Photos, etc.), but some applications will not permanently alter the image. Instead they will simply 'remember' how the image should be displayed; Genie does not receive this information and may not import it with the selected orientation. If this happens, you may need to try rotating it in a different application.
