If you have noticed that your pathology and radiology dates are appearing either in American format (MM/DD/YYYY) or with no date (00/00/0000), this may be due to the machine having the incorrect regional settings configured. If you are running your Genie Server as a service (Windows only), this may also cause issues if not set up as suggested below.
Date / time / region settings
To ensure you have the appropriate date, time and region settings on all machines at your practice, please follow our date and time settings article.
Running Genie Server as a service
If you have checked that the date and time settings are correct on your network, you may need to alter the set up of your Genie Server as a service.
Genie Support is unable to assist with this step. If you are uncomfortable performing these steps, please speak to an IT provider.
- Run services.msc
- Right-click on 4D Server:Genie
- Select Properties
- Navigate to the Log On tab
- Switch the Log on as radio button from Local System account to This account, then complete "This Account" section with a valid username and password for the Server
If you are still experiencing issues after completing these steps, please restart the server machine at your earliest convenience.
