When updating fee schedules through File > Special > Software Updates you may receive a prompt asking you to select the fund that a certain fee schedule applies to.
This prompt generally appears because Genie cannot find an exact match for the name of the fund for which you're downloading the schedule. In the example below, the fee schedule for AHM is being downloaded, but the fund is listed in Genie under Australian Health Management.
Both names for the fund are valid, but without an exact match, Genie can't be sure that this is correct, and so requires input from you to confirm which fund it is. Many fund names can have different formatting, or may change over time, so it's important to review this list thoroughly and confirm the correct fund to apply the schedule to.
What do I do if the fund I need isn't listed?
When the fund you're looking for doesn't appear in the list, there are two possible reasons for this. You will firstly need to navigate to Open > Billing Items then click Health Funds in the top-right to open your list of health funds.
1. Fund does not exist in your health fund list
If the fund isn't shown in the Health Funds list, it means you'll need to add it as a new fund. Once this has been added to the list, you'll be able to download and apply the fees to it.
2. Fund has been incorrectly marked as an AHSA or BUPA fund
A fund that appears in the Health Funds list might still be excluded from the "Which fund is X?" window however, if the AHSA or BUPA box is ticked for it.
When either of these are ticked, Genie will assume that the AHSA or BUPA fee schedule is the only applicable schedule for this fund and will exclude it from the list.
If the fund has its own schedule other than AHSA, untick this box and you will now be able to download the appropriate schedule for it.
