The appointment intervals can be changed for specific doctors via their own user preferences or globally by navigating to Appts > Appt Preferences. Please see our Appointment Preferences article for more information.
The display features of the appointment book such as font and size can be changed per user in Appts > Appointment Preferences. Please keep in mind that the Main tab applies to all users.
To resize the columns of your Appointment Book you must be in the Dates , Rooms or Simplified view.
To resize the columns, choose the sliding bar under the Icons table at the left of your appointment book, and slide this to the right to increase or to the left to decrease.
Across the top of your Appointment Book you will have tabs for each of your chosen users. These tabs are created when a new user is added to your Genie database and can be managed via Appts> Appt Preferences> Column Order and Rooms. Through this window you can add or remove user tabs that you do or don't wish to see in your Appointment Book. As these tabs are linked to a specific user, it is not possible to simply add an additional tab without creating a new user. If your practice requires additional tabs for any reason, please contact our Support Team to discuss your options.
Navigate to File > User Preferences > General. Choose either Bottom or Right from Position of Navigation Palette.
If your Appointment Book icons appear as below, you have likely changed your calendar view.
Choosing the red Date bar will allow you to change the appointment view to hide calendar. To change it back, simply select the red Date bar again.
You will then receive the following prompt, where you simply need to select Change View.
If you've found that your patient names are suddenly missing from the Appointment Book, or have been replaced by their SMS Replies, you may have accidentally turned on Toggle SMS Replies. To correct this, simply head to Appts > Toggle SMS Replies. Your patient names should then appear in the Appointment Book again.
If the patient names have been replaced by Notes, you may have selected the Toggle between Names and Notes display option , which can be found in your Icons Table (below). To bring your patient names back, simply select this icon again.
If your appointments are all missing from your Appointment Book, you may have chosen to Hide Appointments. To turn your appointments back on, simply choose the Show Appointments icon in the bottom left corner of your Icon Table.
Once your appointments have been turned on again, the icon will fill with colour
Genie cannot gather information about holidays and adjust the Appointment Book on it's own. If you would like your Appointment Book to show the Public Holidays, these will need to be entered manually.
