An update from Genie Product Manager Chris Brown
The purpose of this update is to communicate a revised timeline for the release of Genie 9.2.1.
This Genie update has required an enormous amount of work and planning from our developers and plugin partners due to a number of unforeseen roadblocks.
I apologise that we've supplied inaccurate estimates through various channels and, perhaps even more importantly, not clarified these in a timely fashion when new information became available. These inaccuracies each had individual causes, we’ve investigated them all and implemented several new procedures to reduce these types of issues going forward.
We will be focusing on a more unified way of communicating and establishing a regular cadence of updates for the remainder of this development cycle. These are the remaining milestones in the project:
|Phase||Name||Current Completion/Duration expected||Completion Date|
|1||Development Completion||99% completed||Estimate 20 March 2019*|
|2||Regression Testing||Begun 4/3/2019||15 March 2019|
|3||Early Adopter release||2 weeks||Estimate 20 March 2019|
|4||General Release||-1 week||Estimate end March 2019|
Last Updated: Tuesday 19th March 2019
*Development Completion Note: An issue has been discovered that resulted in Genie crashing under specific circumstances within the clinical window. Our developers are working on overcoming this issue and as such we are delaying our Early Adopter release to wait for a solution to be built and tested. It is currently hoped that we will have an EA release available from Wednesday the 20th of March 2019.
Going forward, this post will be updated weekly until 9.2.1 is released. Each update will show the current work phase as underlined. The expected delivery date outlined in milestone 4 will be updated each week as required and new information will be added to this post as it is confirmed.
