Have you ever tried to find a patient that you are certain exists in your database but the record just won't appear? Then you remember - they have married and had a name change but you only recall their maiden name! Don't despair - you'll be happy to know you can still locate their record by performing a search of your database using the instructions below:
- Go to Open > Patients and cancel the Search box.
- Select Records > Search
- Select the arrow beside [Patient] to expand this table.
- Scroll down and select 'MaidenName' from the list of Available Fields
- In the Value box enter the patient's maiden name - e.g. Smith
- Select the Query button.
Any patients who have that maiden name entered into their demographics record will appear in the patient list. You can then open their demographic window to view further details.
