I am currently running Genie on my MacBook Pro and need to upgrade to BigSur but Genie is still not compatible. Can I run Genie using Windows 10 via Parallels if I upgrade to Big Sur?

Hi Dr Matt Oliver, if your current MacBook Pro uses an Intel processor, it is our understanding that you should be able to run Genie via Parallels in much the same way as detailed in our Running Genie in Parallels article.

Parallels supports virtualising 32/64-bit operating systems on macOS Big Sur when using Intel processors, whereas this is currently not possible on Macs using M1 chips. With that being said, we haven't been able to test Parallels functionality on macOS Big Sur and as such we are unable to guarantee that everything will function as expected. If at all possible, we would recommend remaining on your current operating system until we release a 64-bit compatible version of Genie later this year.
